Hat Rock State Park

There are many beautiful boulders in Oregon, but Hat Rock State Park in Umatilla County may be "a-head" of the pack for being the most "cap-tivating." Lewis and Clark dubbed it "Hat Rock" for its uncanny resemblance to a man's hat. Today, the landmark is the star attraction of a desert oasis with excellent hiking, camping, and sand volleyball opportunities. And if you love to fish, the mighty Columbia River is filled with sturgeon and walleye, while Hat Rock Pond is stocked with rainbow trout. Hats off to this state park that offers plenty of family fun!
