Multnomah Falls

In far east Multnomah County, just a short 30 mile trek outside of Portland, you'll find one of the Pacific Northwest's most beautiful and recognizable natural features—Multnomah Falls. This 620-foot-tall striking presence is fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain, making it the tallest waterfall in the whole of Oregon. More than two million people visit this jewel in the Columbia River Gorge every year to take in the view, especially from atop the century-old Multnomah Falls Bridge, and visit the historic Multnomah Falls Lodge. Bonus: the area also boasts stellar hikes and over two dozen other wonderful waterfalls that are all just a hop, skip, and a jump from one another.
